EU Expansion "Not So Far"

Prior to the final part of the three-day informal talks between representatives of the Slovene Government and the European Commission on preparing the Slovene pre-accession strategy for full EU membership, Director General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the Directorate-Generale II, Joly Dixon stressed that "expansion of the European Union is not so far", but candidates for full EU membership must be prepared for the step.
