Commissioner Potočnik Will Not Stand for MEP

Ljubljana, 12 March - Slovenia's European Commissioner Janez Potočnik said on Wednesday that he would not stand in the upcoming elections to the European Parliament, in a move that is seen as severely affecting the chances of Slovenian liberal parties to jointly run for seats in the European Parliament.
