Slovenia, Ten Years a NATO Member

Ljubljana, 24 March - Slovenia became a NATO member on 29 March 2004, fulfilling one of its principal foreign policy goals a month before it realised its top objective, EU membership. While voters endorsed NATO membership with a clear 66% majority, ten years on only 40% would vote in favour, according to the latest Politbarometer poll.
