Slovenia's Relations with NATO Strong yet Nuanced

Ljubljana, 24 March - Voters endorsed NATO membership with a 66% majority in a referendum in 2003 compared to an endorsement of nearly 90% for EU membership on the same day, figures that show the people were apprehensive about the alliance. After ten years of membership, Slovenia continues to have strong ties with NATO, but the relationship remains nuanced.
