Slovenia Raises EUR 2BN in Heavily Oversubscribed Bond Issue

Ljubljana, 1 April - Slovenia raised EUR 2bn on Tuesday with an issue of EUR 1bn each in 3.5-year and seven-year bonds, the Finance Ministry said. It added that demand for the bonds was strong, reaching EUR 9.5bn and that the borrowing costs were much lower than with the November 2013 euro bond issue. There will be no additional borrowing this year.
