Slovenia Marking Ten Years of EU Membership

Ljubljana, 14 April - It is almost ten years since Slovenia joined the European Union as part of the 2004 "big bang" enlargement, the largest single expansion of the bloc. Being among the first post-Communist states to enter the EU, Slovenia was a success story at first, but it has been struggling lately with an economic and political crisis.
