Impact of Mutual Recognition of FRY and Macedonia on Succession?

Ljubljana, 10 April - Mutual recognition and an agreement on the normalization of relations between Macedonia and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) have no impact on the succession to the former Yugoslavia. It namely still holds true that all the successor countries to the former Yugoslavia are equal and that they should reach an agreement on the property distribution. The recognition has no material consequences for Slovenia expect for moral ones. We are, however, a little disappointed. On the other hand the Macedonians have their reasons for recognizing the FRY, STA was told by head of the Slovene delegation at the working group for the succession to the former Yugoslavia Miran Mejak.
