A Slovene Christian Democrats Delegation in Japan
Ljubljana, 21 April - SLOVENIA/JAPAN/DELEGATION
A delegation of the Slovene Christian Democrats (SKD), consisting of party leader Lojze Peterle, Deputy Parliament Speaker Miroslav Mozetič, Minister of Science and Technology Andrej Umek and international secretary Leon Marc, is to leave Sunday for a weeklong visit to Japan at the invitation of a Japanese peace foundation Sasakawa. This is the strongest Slovene delegation ever to visit Japan. During its visit, the SKD delegation will visit the ruling LDP party, meet members of the Parliament's International Relations Committee and the Committee of Friendship with Slovenia. In the economic part of the visit, the delegation is to meet managements of NEC and NTT corporations, and discuss with the Ministry of Traffic and Tourism the promotion of Slovene tourism in the Japanese market.
