Countess Christalnigg First WWI Victim in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 9 August - World War I claimed its first civilian victim on Slovenian soil 13 days after it broke out on 28 July 1914. On 10 August Countess Lucy Christalnigg was shot near the village of Srpenica in the Soča valley, a death that even after 100 years remains somewhat of a mystery.
