Local Elections Raise New Hopes, Especially for SLS

Ljubljana, 9 September - The 2010 local elections brought victory mostly to independent candidates, backed only by voter signatures, which is what analysts expect will repeat in the 5 October elections. The most successful party was however the People's Party (SLS), which has high hopes for the upcoming poll.
