Former NLB Boss Tells Court State Used to Encourage MBOs

Ljubljana, 9 September - Draško Veselinovič, the former chairman of the state-owned NLB bank, which indirectly financed a failed MBO of Pivovarna Laško by its former boss Boško Šrot, told the Ljubljana District Court as a trial against Šrot resumed on Tuesday that politics used to actively encourage management buyouts and that no safeguards were put into law.
