Local Polls: Kangler Comeback, Absence of Centre-Right Challenge in Ljubljana

Ljubljana/Maribor/Koper/Celje, 12 September - The list of candidates for the 5 October local elections, which can no longer be extended following Wednesday's expiration of the candidacy deadline, brings a few notable surprises, among them a comeback attempt of the toppled ex-Maribor Mayor Franc Kangler and the failure of the right-leaning parties to field a candidate in the capital.
