Slovene Cultural Policies Assessed by the Council of Europe
Ljubljana, 6 May - CULTURAL/POLICY/COUNCIL/EUROPE/ASSESSMENT
A delegation of Council of Europe (CE) experts headed by Theodor Adams from Holland is paying a working visit to Slovenia this week to make an assessment of Slovene cultural policies from 1945 till present. In analyzing cultural policies in Slovene regions and municipalities, the delegation, also including Michael Wimmer (Austria), Stella Coffey (Ireland), Ivan Marazov (Bulgaria), Pirkko Rainesalo (Finland) and CE coordinator Ritva Mitchell, is to visit by 12 May almost all Slovene regions (Maribor, Celje, Ljubljana, Koper, Piran and Novo mesto) meeting officials of local authorities, cultural institutions, societies and associations. CE experts will also meet representatives of Slovene minorities.
