Floods, a Scourge that Keeps Hitting Slovenia

Ljubljana, 8 November - Below is an overview of some of the worst floods in Slovenia in the past 100 years with a focus on the last decade. A frequent issue in Slovenia, the worst flooding struck in 1954, when three weeks of rain and storms in the Celje area claimed 22 lives. Four serious floods have already hit Slovenia this year.
