Social Partners More Or Less Satisfied With Initialed Social Agreement

Ljubljana, 17 May - The text of this year's social agreement which was initialed by social partners Thursday after several months of negotiations enables a preservation of places of work, a cut of unemployment, growth of minimum wage and the assuring of economic growth despite unfavourable economic situation in developed countries. At the same time, the agreement should be dealt with in connection with a package of measures for disburdening economy, proposed by Slovene Government, Minister of Work, Family and Social Affairs Tine Rop said at the news conference Friday. The conference was attended by the representatives of the Government, trade unions and employers who explained the reasons for the initialing the agreement as well as some second thoughts about it.
