Banka Slovenije Bond Purchases at EUR 192M in 1st Month of Quantitative Easing

Ljubljana, 7 April - Banka Slovenije said Tuesday it had so far purchased EUR 192m worth of bonds as part of the quantitative easing programme started by the ECB on 9 March. The Slovenian central bank, which has been buying state bonds exclusively, mostly expects indirect effects from the programme, including because of a depreciation of the euro.
