Parliamentary Committee Backs Changes to EU Commissioner Appointment
Ljubljana, 10 April - The parliamentary EU Affairs Committee backed on Friday the opposition-sponsored changes to the procedure for the appointment of Slovenia's EU commissioner. The Democrats (SDS) propose MPs be included in the procedure to avoid cases such as last year's controversial self-nomination of former PM Alenka Bratušek.
