Nova Gorica, 23 April - Slovenian chestnut forests have been hit hard by the onslaught of the chestnut gall wasp, an introduced species first spotted ten years ago. But now the pest will meet its match, for parasitic wasps of the species T. sinensis released into the wild this week as a biological control agent.
