Major Developments in WWII Resistance Movement in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 8 May - In Slovenia WWII broke out with the German invasion on 6 April 1941, a quiet Palm Sunday. Within days the Italian and Hungarian forces took over eastern and western parts of the country, while a resistance movement began to emerge just over a fortnight after the invasion. The war's death toll among Slovenians is estimated at 97,450.
