Minister Kacin Proposes Military Exercises to his Italian Colleague Angreatta
Brussels, 14 June - Slovene Defence Minister Jelko Kacin attended Friday the meeting of NATO and partner state defence ministers, using the opportunity for numerous bilataral meetings with countries that share similar views on the global European integration or belong to approximately the same group of countries seeking full membership in NATO. Kacin pointed to his meeting with Italy's Defence Minister Beniamin Andreatta, to whom he proposed that Slovenia and Italy conduct joint military exercises in the spirit of Partnership for Peace, which Andreatta accepted. The ministers are to meet again shortly to sign the agreement on defence and military cooperation, which both governments had already adopted, Kacin told.
