jubljana, 29 July (STA) - Following discussions between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Rep. of Slovenia, Lojze Peterle, and that of the Rep. of Croatia, Mate Granić, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RS, Ignac Golob, and the deputy of the Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivo Sanader, will sign an agreement tomorrow on the foundation and jurisdiction of joint authorities for assessing and marking state borders.***
Ljubljana, 29 July - TOMORROW, SIGNING OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN SLOVENIA AND CROATIA ON THE FOUNDATION AND JURISDICTION OF JOINT AUTHORITIES TO MARK STATE BORDERS=
On the basis of this agreement between the governments of the RS and the RC, the states will jointly set up a diplomatic committee within a period of 30 days to which each party will appoint a delegation. This committee will convene alternately in Slovenia and Croatia and will be presided over by the president of the delegation of the host country. The committee will propose a draft for the contract concerning the borders and will solve questions under dispute. It will also appoint as one of its executive bodies a joint Slovenian-Croatian committee for marking, maintaining and renovating the state border.
