Expiery of Embargo Ends Injustice to Slovenia
Ljubljana, 18 June - 11 June, the day when arms embargo for Slovenia expired, is a milestone in the history of building the Slovene defence system, bringing new opportunities of purchasing spare parts and ammunition for the existing heavy weaponry. Most of all, it is an encouragement to further modernization of Slovene army in accordance with NATO standards and a boost to faster accession of Slovenia to NATO and the EU, reported the Slovene Ministry of Defence adding Slovenia would continue building its defence system on the basis of core development programs and in compliance with priorities set by the military defence doctrine.
