Public administration reform is particularly welcome in the days of positive steps of approaching the European Union (EU). The signing of the associate agreement with the EU means the beginning of a fast count down towards a full membership in the EU, which is to require numerous adjustments, where the public administration will undoubtedly play a decisive role, said in his opening speech Slovene Premier Janez Drnovšek, speaking at a two-day colloquy on the transformation of Slovene public administration in the light of approaching the EU.
