Constitutional Court Arbitrates on Election Legislation Referendums - Three Referendums on Same Day

The Constitutional Court on Thursday announced its decision as of 14 June, arbitrating in a procedure of evaluating constitutional and legal force, initialled on the demand of the National Council and an initiative of the opposition Social Democratic Party. It decided that the Referendum and Peoples' Initiative Law is not incompatible with the Constitution if interpreted in such a way that referendums are carried out simultaneously on all issues included in the demands for calling legislative referendums, subject to the same law if they were forwarded by the time the act on calling a referendum was adopted.
