Laws for Economy Disburdenment in Force

Ljubljana, 2 July - TAXES/DISBURDENMENT
Part of economy disburdenment laws that the Slovene parliament adopted in the middle of June came in force as of 1 July. In this way the contribution rate a company pays for the social security of the employed fell from 42 to 38 per cent and the law on paid off salaries will impose a progressive taxation on the salaries which exceed gross 90,000 Slovene tolars (SIT). Also coming in force was the law on the social agreement which states salaries in economy sector, according to which salaries can increase in accordance with the collective agreement in agreement with inflation.
