Layoffs Upsetting Slovenian Media Scene

Ljubljana, 9 September - The recent and pending layoffs at public broadcaster RTV Slovenije as well at the dailies Večer and Delo are confirming a crisis of the journalistic profession. The developments have prompted strong reactions from journalists' organisations, while the need to address the situation has also been acknowledged by the Culture Ministry.
