1996 National Budget Deficiency Bill to Disburden Economy

Stagnation of economic growth in the firs few months of 1996 indicated the economic situation in Slovenia was worse than predicted by the Government end last year. To respond adequately to the decline of growth, the government drafted a bundle of economic measures. After the proposed measures were adopted by the Parliament, the Government drafted the 1996 national budget deficiency bill to guarantee implementation of the altered economic politics aiming to disburden Slovene economy. The Parliament adopted an almost unchanged "technical" proposal of the Government, enabling the volume and borrowings of the 1996 budget to remain unchanged with the revenues and expenditures adequately restructured.
