Ljubljana, 23 October - Slovenia faced a major flood of refugees after Hungary closed its green border with Croatia. Thousands poured in every day, stretching the country's resources to the limit. Legislation was adopted to allow the army to protect the borders, as the government scrambled for solutions amidst growing popular discontent. Ex-politician France Bučar died.
