MPs say no to referendum initiative against police powers for army

Ljubljana, 4 November - The National Assembly decided in a 71:6 vote to ban a referendum on legislative changes giving army limited police powers to help police patrol the border in the refugee crisis. This effectively stops the collecting of the necessary 40,000 signatures in support of the referendum.
