Mayors Support Council of Europe's Aid to Fiscal Organization of Local Self-Government

Ljubljana, 15 July - LOCAL/SELF-GOVERNMENT/OECD/WB/CE
A two-day conference on regional and local finances in Slovenia entitled "Initiative on Fiscal Decentralization" started here Monday, initiated by the Council of Europe, the World Bank and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and organized by the Slovene government. The conference is intended to provide support to the local self-government reform, a process which is also to continue during the reform process and decentralization of the local financial and fiscal systems.
