585,538 Employed in Economy and Non-economy Sectors in May

In firms and other organizations, there were 585,538 employed in Slovenia in May, in economy sector 437,038 and in non-economy 148,500. According to the National Statistic Office data, the number of employed in May did not change over April, but it was by 1.8 per cent lower than in May 1995. May saw 118,321 unemployed persons, the unemployment rate being that of 13.7 per cent. Compared to April, there were by 1.3 per cent unemployed less in May, compared to May 1995, however, there were by 1.7 per cent more unemployed persons.
