Cumulative Industrial Production Still Lagging Behind 1995 Production

Ljubljana, 21 July - Relatively encouraging results in industrial production recorded in April continued also in May. In May industrial companies produced by 4.3 per cent more than was the 1995 average and by 0.6 per cent more over April. Compared to May 1995, the production dropped by 0.5 per cent, meaning that also the 1996 cumulative production is still behind the comparable 1995 production; in the January-to-May period, there were by 1.9 per cent less products manufactured over the same 1995 period.
