Eminent Slovenian author Aleš Debeljak dies

Ljubljana, 29 January - Aleš Debeljak, one of the most renowned Slovenian poets, essayists and critics of the past three decades, has died aged 54. The news was confirmed by the Ljubljana Faculty of Social Sciences, where Debeljak had been a tenured professor since 2004.
