Exporters Association Demands Lower Deposit Interest Rates

The Bank of Slovenia should lower its discount rate, while business banks should decrease deposit interest rates and interests received. For the latter, a law should also be passed stipulating their margins to amount to no more than the European average margins, also banning the use of capital for salaries of bank employes, was told at the news conference Tuesday by the Exporters Economic Association (GIZ) on investments to technology and new markets, capital export and export warranties.
