No Change in Unemployment Rate

There were 585,538 employed persons in companies and other organizations in Slovenia in May, of whom 48.7 percent were women. In May over April there was no change in the number of employed people, with the number slightly falling only in the non-economic area - by 0.1 percent. Compared with May, 1995, the number of employed was down by 1.8 percent - by 2.9 percent in economic sector, while in the non-economic sector the number increased by 1.8 percent, the National Statistic Office reported.
