Parliament to Set Referendum Date Wednesday

Ljubljana, 2 August - REFERENDUM/CONSTITUTIONAL/COURT/PARLIAMENT
The Parliament has seven days to set the date for four legislative referendums on parliamentary elections, defines the Thursday decision by the Constitutional Court, which assessed referendum demands submitted by the National Council and the Social Democratic Party (SDS) were in accordance with the constitution. The Parliament's emergency session, where the decision on the issue is to be taken, is scheduled for next Wednesday. At the initiative of SDS, the Court is also to assess constitutionality of three articles of the bill on referendum and people's initiative, from which two articles were already deleted.
