Slovenia marks 26 years of independence govt

Ljubljana, 16 May - The first democratically elected government in Slovenia was sworn in on 16 May 26 years ago, a landmark event which will be celebrated today with a ceremony organised by the Association for the Values of Slovenian Independence. The first Slovenian government was formed by parties in the DEMOS coalition and led by Lojze Petrle, who is now a MEP.
