First-time mothers getting older, births still outnumber deaths

Ljubljana, 27 June - The number of babies born in Slovenia decreased by 2.5% in 2015 compared to the year before, while the number of deaths was down 5% to keep the rate of natural increase positive for the tenth year running. The average age of first-time mothers has increased by another 0.2 years to 29.3. The average age at death in 2015 was 76.9.
