Mountain Climate Discussed at the Alps Meteorogily Conference in September

An Alpine Meteorology Conference will take place from 9 to 13 September in a Slovene mountain resort of Bled, 50 northwest of Ljubljana, where weather and climate in mountainous regions will be discussed. The conference, to be jointly opened by the World Meteorology Organization's Secretary General and Slovenia's Minister for Environment and Physical Planning Pavle Gantar, will feature 80 seminars presented by 180 experts from around the world, head of the organizing committee and deputy director of the Slovene Hydro-Meteorological Institute Miran Trontelj told a news conference Tuesday.
