Mirna Peč, 18 August - Maintenance works and excavations around a church in the south-east of the country recently led to an exciting archaeological find. Archaeologists uncovered ruins of a fort that Slovenians built to protect themselves against Turks in the 15th century and an even older Slavic grave underneath.
