Ahead of the final qualifying game against Ukraine on Saturday, Slovenia lead qualifying Group E and secured a Eurobasket berth as the group winner or one of the four best second-placed teams.

Miami Heat guard Goran Dragić was the top scorer for Slovenia with 17 points, with Gašper Vidmar, who plays for the Turkish club Banvit, adding 12. All twelve players made the scoreboard.

Eurobasket 2017, held in Finland, Romania, Israel and Turkey, will be the 13th consecutive time that Slovenia compete in the European championship. Their biggest success so far came in 2009, when they finished fourth.
