The Istrian Cycling Marathon on Friday is intended for recreational cyclists who can compete in one of three races (17 km, 51 km and 75 km).
The marathon invites the participants with a "unique setting, diverse terrain and beautiful panoramas", the organisers said.
The event will also feature a market where locals will present culinary and craft products.
Recreational rowers will be able to participate on Saturday in the environmental and recreational campaign "Water for Ever" and see how many kilometres they can cover in 24 hours.
The event will take place on a 5.5-km course on the Ljubljanica in Ljubljana, taking the rowers under the bridges in the centre of the city.
"This is a challenge for the most persistent ones. You can row only one lap, or as many as you are capable of," the organisers said.
The proceeds from participation fees and donations are intended for charity.
Runners will be gathering on Saturday in Slovenske Konjice for the 4th Konjice Marathon, which is known for its slogan "a marathon with a soul".
The event will feature a 5-km, a 10-km and a 21-km race, two short humanitarian runs, and an accompanying entertainment programme.
