Slovenia climb 15 spots in FIFA rankings

Ljubljana, 20 October - Slovenia's national football team has advanced 15 spots in the latest FIFA rankings to 52nd after drawing with England and beating Slovakia in the qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup.

Argentina continue to top the rankings, ahead of Germany and Brazil, which have both gained one spot, while Belgium dropped to fourth.

The highest-ranking team in Slovenia's qualifying group is England in 12th; Slovakia have advanced two spots to 26th, while Scotland dropped 13 spots to 57th and Lithuania climbed 19 spots to 98. Malta are 178th.
