Badinter Arbitration Committee paved way for Slovenia's recognition by Europe

Ljubljana, 8 December - An arbitration commission established as part of the 1991 Peace Conference on Yugoslavia, known as the Badinter Arbitration Committee, decided 25 years ago that Yugoslavia had dissolved as opposed to Slovenia and Croatia breaking away. Its findings opened the path to Slovenia's international recognition.
