Ski cross: Flisar wins World Cup event in Innichen

Dobbiaco, 21 December - Slovenian freestyle skier Filip Flisar bagged his sixth win at Ski Cross World Cup events in Innichen, northern Italy, on Wednesday. The reigning World Champion beat Tim Hronek of Germany, Alex Fiva of Switzerland and Jean Frederic Chapuis in the grand finale.

This was the first finale of the season for the 29-year-old from Maribor, who left the competition far behind from the go.

"It was hard. A hard track, icy, you have to be on the edges all the time. The tour is over, the body is getting ready to rest. I saved energy through previous runs and did my best in the finals. And here I am," Flisar said after the win.

Flisar is fourth in the overall rankings, which are topped by Chapius.
