Iskra Holding Records Profit

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 1996, Iskra Holding has recorded a modest profit - the first in years, head of Iskra Holding administration Dušan Šešok told a press conference Tuesday. Iskra Holding is in the phase of accelerated growth. In the first half of 1996, when the entire Slovene industrial production fell by three percent, Iskra Holding daughter-companies succeeded in increasing the production volume by 23.9 percent. In the same period the company managed to decrease losses by 50 percent to amount at the end of the six-month period to DM 3.6 million.
