The exhibition is based on the national Smart Specialisation Strategy and the action plan for making the forest-wood chain in Slovenia more competitive by 2020.
In both documents, wood is defined as strategic raw material with great untapped potential, while the wood processing industry has been placed among prospective industries, said SPIRIT.
Slovenian wood design and architecture will be presented in a 220 sq metre exhibition area in the centre of Milan as part of the 56th Salone del Mobile Milan fair.
Several business meetings and a round table debate on design will also be held as part of the exhibition.
