Deficit down to 1.5% of GDP in 2016, debt below 80% of GDP

Ljubljana, 31 March - Slovenia's general government deficit plunged to 1.5% of GDP in 2016, much lower than the 2.2% originally projected by the government. Public debt declined by more than three percentage points to 79.7% of GDP, according to Statistics Office data released on Friday.
