Century passing since the end of Isonzo Front
Ljubljana, 10 May - A century will have passed this year since the last major WWI battles between Austria-Hungary and Italy at the Isonzo Front. The largest conflict on Slovenian soil was a war of attrition that ended with a catastrophic defeat of the Italian forces known as the Battle of Caporetto in late 1917, two and a half years after the theatre of war opened.
