Review of Slovenian Press

Ljubljana, 16 August - Among domestic events, Slovenian daily newspapers devote the most attention today to Italian military surveillance on the Italian-Slovenian border, which is to be maintained until 10 October, to Minister of Defence Janez Janša's criticising the work of the Basic Court of Maribor, and to the celebration of the assumption of St Mary. On the forefront of foreign events there are the Serbian withdrawal from Mts. Igman and Bjelašnica, and the controversial evacuation of twenty-one sick and wounded people to the United Kingdom and Sweden.
